VITA is helping students get a jump start on their career as part of our 2026 internship program.

The VITA internship program is an opportunity for college students to unlock their potential at the Commonwealth's IT agency. Interns will work alongside seasoned professionals and receive a comprehensive introduction to a real-world professional experience.

During the internship program, interns:

• Gain proficiency in key business functions while contributing to exciting projects that shape the Commonwealth.

This paid, nine-week program runs from June 1 to Aug. 7. VITA has 21 intern openings on teams across the agency, including administration, communications, legislative services, security, supply chain management, data engineering, finance and more. Interns will work part-time, in person at the VITA office in North Chesterfield.

College students enrolled in a two-year, four-year or graduate-level degree program (including students graduating in May 2026) are eligible for VITA internships. Students with disabilities are encouraged to apply.
